Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating tractor- trucks. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. A strong focus on safety and customer service is essential. Home daily.
Responsibilities
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while driving.
- Route starts around 5PM-4AM Monday thru Friday.
- Forklift experience is required.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with freight transportation.
- Familiarity with route driving techniques and navigation systems.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is a plus.
