Liquid Cooling Engineering Internship - 2026
The Mechanical Engineering Intern will support the design and documentation of mechanical systems used in data center liquid cooling solutions. The intern will work with engineering teams on CAD modeling, drawing updates, and engineering documentation for various liquid cooling products such as distribution systems, cooling units, and related assemblies.
This role is suited for a hands-on mechanical engineering student with prior internship or project experience, strong CAD skills, and familiarity with engineering documentation workflows.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and update 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for mechanical components and assemblies.
* Revise existing designs and support drawing updates based on engineering feedback.
* Assist in preparing and releasing design documents through PLM systems (e.g., PD Cloud).
* Compile and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and part lists.
* Support engineering reviews and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
* Assist with documentation required for purchasing and manufacturing.
* Participate in design discussions and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Ideal Background
* Mechanical Engineering student.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD tools.
* Experience creating and revising engineering drawings.
* Familiar with compiling Bills of Materials and supporting purchasing workflows.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills.
