Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and curious Innovation Lab Intern to support data analytics and insight generation across our Innovation Lab activities. This role provides hands-on exposure to applied data analysis, visualization, and reporting in a fast-paced engineering and laboratory environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn how data is used to inform technical decisions, improve lab operations, and support business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

* Assist with collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing data from internal systems, lab equipment outputs, and external sources to ensure accuracy and completeness

* Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that support lab operations, testing activities, and management reporting

* Develop and maintain dashboards, charts, and reports that clearly communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders

* Support monitoring of data quality and integrity, identifying discrepancies and working with team members to resolve issues

* Document data sources, assumptions, and methodologies to support repeatability and transparency

* Stay current with emerging tools, techniques, and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence, applying them where appropriate

* Collaborate with engineers, lab staff, and analysts to understand requirements and translate them into meaningful data outputs

Qualifications:

* Must be pursuing a degree in Engineering, Physics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

* High attention to detail and a demonstrated work ethic

* Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats

* Willingness to learn quickly in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work

* Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team setting

* Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is a plus
