Avionics Technician – High-Priority Defense Program

Take your avionics career to the next level by joining the launch team of a brand-new, multi-billion dollar Department of Defense program. This is a 10-year project modernizing advanced airborne defense platforms, starting with heavily modified Boeing 747s. Be one of the first 5 avionics techs hired and work inside state-of-the-art, climate-controlled hangars in Dayton, Ohio.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform avionics modifications and installations on commercial aircraft.
- Terminate, crimp, and connect wires to exacting military and aerospace standards.
- Conduct operational checks, troubleshooting, and ring-outs of avionics systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and modification drawings.
- Support test, inspection, and integration phases in a classified environment.
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of experience in aircraft avionics installation, wiring, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with tools for wire prep, crimping, routing, and testing.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, pinouts, and modification packages.
- Must bring your own tools (shadowed and etched preferred).
- FAA Drug Test compliance required.
- Eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (active clearance a plus).
- Military or special mission aircraft background is a plus—veterans encouraged to apply.
