The ideal candidate for the Mental Health Therapist will have an Ohio license: LSW, LPC, LISW, LPCC and experience working with individuals receiving treatment or individuals with mental illness and substance use disorder. Prior experience as a Case Manager or Behavioral Health Technician is a plus. This is a great position for someone with a BSW/LSW or MSW/LSW or MA/LPC who wants to get experience and attain their independent license! We offer free license supervision hours and continuing education credits.
Position Responsibilities for Mental Health/Counselor
- Provide expertise in utilizing therapeutic techniques appropriate for each client’s needs, including Brief Solution Focused Therapy and other best or evidence-based practices
- Provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy as dictated by the client's needs
- Knowledge of the spectrum of mental illness, symptomology, psychotropic medication, and problems presented in adjusting to life cycle changes. Diagnose appropriately using DSM 5.
