Summary Of Position
Teach and support undergraduate nursing students in both clinical and laboratory settings by supervising hands-on learning experiences and guiding the development of essential nursing skills. Responsibilities include facilitating simulation scenarios that strengthen clinical reasoning and decision making, evaluating student performance, and providing timely, constructive feedback to promote growth. Additional duties involve grading weekly assignments and clinical documentation, ensuring that students effectively integrate classroom theory into practice while maintaining a safe, supportive, and high-quality learning environment.

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday through Friday. Teaching assignments may be remote or at various locations.

Qualifications and Competencies
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures:Unencumbered, active Ohio Registered Nurse license (RN) at the time of employment.
Sponsorship and/or Work Authorization Status: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Minimum Qualifications: At least a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited university; unencumbered Ohio Registered Nurse license (RN); and at least two or more years of experience as a practicing registered nurse. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). At least one year of experience teaching undergraduate clinicals in fundamentals, medical-surgical, pediatrics, OB, and/ or mental health nursing. Experience in scenario simulation.
Physical Requirements: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this position will perform sedentary work.
Sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs may be defined as Sedentary when walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other Sedentary criteria aremet.
