Job Description

This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC, ACME, and/or Tool & Die equipment to produce machined parts according to blueprint specifications. The machinist is expected to follow all safety procedures and produce parts that meet high quality standards.

What You Will Do

  • Set up and operate ACME, CNC, and Tool & Die equipment to produce machined parts based on blueprints, layouts, and templates
  • Plan the sequence of operations using knowledge of materials and machining processes
  • Assist with setup and operate multiple machines simultaneously
  • Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, and written or verbal instructions
  • Verify material type and size before machining
  • Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and gauges to inspect work in process
  • Move materials as needed to complete tasks
  • Install and verify safety devices for specific jobs
  • Report defective materials, faulty equipment, or unusual conditions
  • Complete required quality checks and production documentation
  • Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, orderly work area
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, which may occasionally require extended hours

  • Ability to follow work instructions and read blueprints
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools
  • Prior experience in a light‑industrial or machining environment (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment and meet deadlines
