Die Setter / Mold Setter - Ravenna, OH - JOB 26-00274
Pay Range: $18.00 - $21.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
2nd Shift (3:30 Pm – 12:00AM, Monday – Friday)
A Ravenna, Ohio area manufacturing company that is seeking a hands-on Die Setter / Mold Setter to join the 2nd shift production team. The Ideal Candidate will be responsible for the physical setup and teardown of injection molding equipment, ensuring that our production lines run efficiently and meet our high-quality standards. This is a critical role in our manufacturing process, requiring technical knowledge of mold mechanics and material science.
Key Responsibilities:
• Equipment Setup: Perform the assembly and disassembly of equipment for die and mold changes.
• Technical Setup: Execute basic equipment configurations, including managing thread sizes and metric specifications.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues during the die/mold changing process to minimize downtime.
• Material Management: Maintain a deep understanding of product material melting points and execute proper purging methods and temperatures.
• Maintenance: Ensure production equipment is handled safely and maintained according to company standards.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Proven experience in plastics manufacturing is required (Injection molding preferred; blow molding experience considered).
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of troubleshooting the die/mold changing process.
• Precision: Competency in basic equipment setup, including thread sizes and metric measurements.
• Reliability: Ability to work the afternoon shift consistently and available for overtime on Saturdays when needed.
