Maintenance Technician III

Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM


The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for overseeing the logistics, fabrication, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electromechanical equipment used in prescription drug distribution including packaging equipment and conveyor systems.


Seeking someone skilled with Mechanical and Electrical maintenance skills including familiarity in low voltage (120AC and 24DC) and high voltage (480 and 240) environments


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Routinely inspect automated equipment, including electro‑pneumatic and control systems.
  • Install and support new equipment, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and computer systems.
  • Monitor equipment condition and report status to the Maintenance Supervisor as needed.
  • Reduce machine downtime and improve equipment throughput, reliability, and overall performance.
  • Maintain accurate preventive maintenance schedules and documentation, including repairs, parts used, issues identified, and recommendations.
  • Lead and perform testing of equipment and related software to ensure proper operation and defect‑free performance.
  • Evaluate mechanical systems for cost‑effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement design modifications to eliminate malfunctions, reduce cost‑to‑fill, increase throughput, and improve quality.
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing procedures and model future system configurations.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency when troubleshooting and repairing equipment to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of hands‑on electrical and mechanical experience in a troubleshooting or maintenance capacity
  • Working knowledge of Allen‑Bradley PLCs.
  • Working knowledge of low and high voltage maintenance.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and prioritization skills.
