MINIMUM REOUIREMENTS

High school graduate or equivalent. Responsible for performing unskilled maintenance tasks. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and be able to withstand extreme temperatures. Possession of a valid driver's license is required. Erie County residency preferred. Pre-employment physical and drug screen required.

Description of the Job:

Under immediate supervision of the Utilities Director, is responsible for performing unskilled maintenance to grounds of wastewater treatment plants, water and sewer pump stations, & easements; performs other related duties as required.

Illustrative Duties: (The duties listed below are intended to illustrate various work functions including but not necessarily limited to those which may be required to be performed under this classification.)

• Drive pick-up truck with trailer to haul equipment.
• Unload/ load equipment and other tools.
• Mow grass with lawn mower.
• Cut brush and remove litter from grounds.
• Weed whack around objects that cannot be mowed/ sprayed.
• Cleans equipment after mowing.
• Cleans up outdoor areas using the proper tools and equipment
• Perform other related duties as required

Physical Requirements:

• Alternate frequently between standing/walking/crawling/climbing throughout an eight (8) hour workday.
• Lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
• Reaching with bilateral upper extremities into/up to/down to various heights.
• Push/pull with twenty (20) pounds of initial force.
• Able to withstand extreme temperatures.
