Job Summary:
Consistently implement, coordinate, and promote, in accordance with company policy, the safety, quality, and production to maintain and enhance corporate profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate employee compliance safety, quality, productivity policies, programs, and procedures.
- Assign, supervise, motivate, and evaluate behavior and performance of employees.
- Coordinate with management the scheduling of production and personnel.
- Track and maintain accurate raw, in-process, and finished goods production reports.
- Compile and maintain accurate written records for employees, including position and hours worked, attendance, performance, and behavior to management.
- Perform complete inspections of all facilities and complete records of inspection in accordance with federal, state, and local laws as requirements or objectives established by management.
- Investigate and communicate any undesirable results concerning employee performance, behavior, safety, health, quality, and efficiency.
- Perform and calculate orientation and training process for new and existing employees. Asign and select which employees shall attend. Schedule, perform, and/or attend training and orientation programs that are essential to employee safety and health, and production availability and efficiency.
- Direct the completion of special projects in cooperation with management.
- Administer discipline that is firm, and consistent with the “best interests” of company policy and employees.
- Perform all essential and marginal functions of employees for relief, substitution, or emergency purposes only.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills required.
- Detailed oriented, good with basic math and able to work in team environment required.
- Experience in computer applications.
- Ability to work without supervision and to make appropriate decisions.
- Ability to process work with accuracy and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work with a variety of operations equipment.
- Ability to work in a stationary position in usually an office environment.
- Physical activity includes sitting, maneuvering out on plant floor, talking, hearing, handling, reaching, lifting carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Carrying equipment and materials to their desired location.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work with office equipment including but not limited to computers, printers, copiers, calculators, and telephones.
- Ability to accurately distinguish and identify colors to ensure product quality and adherence to established standards and specifications.
- Must dress professionally and appropriately.
Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience in management or production related field is preferred.
- Three or more years of manufacturing or production experience required
- Two years of direct supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma experience
- Proven experience managing change
- ISO 9001/14001 experience
- Experience coaching teams to better performance via continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with standard work and ensuring standards are maintained
- Ability to perform and lead root cause analysis
Shift Information
Supervisors shifts and schedules are not fixed. Supervisors may be assigned to different shifts or areas of responsibility at any time based on the needs of the business. Managers are responsible for setting the cadence/schedules for each Supervisor.
