Job Description
Position Purpose:
Assist the welding department to meet production goals along with gain welding experience.
Essential Functions:
* Perform MIG, hand and robotic welding operations to produce product at the required production and quality level as instructed.
* Perform inspection on product utilizing total quality concepts.
* Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed.
* Accurately report daily activities on work orders and Kan Ban cards and other media as required.
* Conduct required quality checks using basic measurement equipment.
* Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor/Area Leader.
Education and Training:
* Actively enrolled in a High School Diploma and accredited career tech welding program, required.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must pass drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout the term of employment
* Must follow all safety practices and policies.
* Must be able to use PC to check email and complete online tasks, as necessary
* Ability to pass 2G MIG welding certification test, preferred.
Physical Demands:
* Constant standing, walking, reaching, balancing, cervical spine motion, lower extremities, and simple grasp
* Frequent forward bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing
* Lifting and carrying up to 40lbs
