REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 6/19/26-12/21/26. Must agree to 48 hr work week. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 2 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 50 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen.


JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Crops/Commodities: peas, beans, winter squash, zucchini, and asparagus. Primary duties (performed the majority of workdays): Production associates clean, cut, inspect, package and label commodities from the raw stage through final product while maintaining a clean and contaminant free worksite. Applicable department/area of responsibility training to be completed and maintained. Workers are tasked to preform floor cleaning in raw or finished goods area using a squeegee, broom, and shovel. Perform sorting for any defects and foreign material in raw or finished goods area. Trimming stems and tops from produce using knifes and machetes. Distribute product evenly into dicers. Raking beans, winter squash, zucchini, and asparagus onto conveying system. Unload peas into hopper by using mechanical hydraulic lifts. Assemble totes, place liners in cardboard totes, and ensure produce is labeled correctly. Have the ability to stack 28-pound pails of puree. Knowledge of calibration verification of IQF scales. Assist with setting up and breaking down equipment. Workers expected to perform basic duties in a proficient manner without close supervision. Workers must be able to comprehend and follow instructions and communicate effectively to supervisors. Have the ability to read and comprehend written instructions, and write legible reports. Persons seeking employment in this position must be available for the entire period requested by the employer.Workers may not leave the job assignment area without authorization. Leaving job area or farm without permission will be considered to be a voluntary resignation Job opportunity is Skill Level I. All primary duties are entry-level and require close supervision and/or a short demonstration of the task by a more experienced worker. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time. Workers will have an unpaid lunch break. Workers will be offered alternating days off. Workers may be required to work shifts during a 4–6 week period to complete field preparation activities, with an unpaid lunch break, Monday through Saturday. Possible shifts include: Shift 1: 5:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. Shift 2: 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Each worker will be assigned to a shift. TERMINATION. Prior to any termination for cause, employer evaluates workers' performance of required tasks and compliance with Work Rules and other employer policies. Employer may terminate a worker for cause if the worker's performance consistently and/or substantially fails to satisfy the employer's reasonable expectations (in accordance with the criteria set forth herein), or otherwise engages in serious or egregious misconduct that endangers health, safety, or property. In assessing whether workers' performance meets reasonable expectations, employer evaluates, among other reasonable criteria, whether the worker: (1) has adequately complied with the Work Rules and any other policies or procedures; (2) has complied with all health and safety guidelines, including the use of tools or equipment in accordance with best practices to protect the employer's property, crops, and in a manner that avoids injury or damage; (3) has treated company property (tools, equipment, crops, fixtures, etc.), with care and respect, avoiding damage or improper cleanliness or maintenance standards;


EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:


BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.


HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.


TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).


WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.


TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
