Maintenance Technician

Location: Brooklyn, OH

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $25.00–$36.00 per hour

Shift: Second Shift | 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing facility equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role supports preventive maintenance efforts, troubleshoots mechanical issues, and works closely with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and maintain a well-functioning production environment.

Work Schedule Requirements

  • Hours may fluctuate based on business needs
  • Mandatory overtime may be required
  • Flexibility with scheduling is essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and perform maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical systems, including electrical and plumbing components
  • PLC and drive experience is a plus
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and support safety compliance
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and supply inventory
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement timely solutions
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members and report to maintenance leadership
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety
  • Dependable, punctual, and a team player
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Willingness and ability to learn:
  • Accurate use of measuring devices
  • Proper use of hand tools and crimpers
  • Identification and reporting of quality issues
  • Reading and understanding tags and work orders
  • Packaging instructions
  • Production line processes and capacity awareness
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred but not required
