The Mutuel Supervisor assists in overseeing the daily operations of the pari-mutuel wagering, adherence to regulatory standards, and exceptional customer service.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that all betting transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with regulatory and company policies.
- Monitor wagering activity and escalate any unusual behavior or technical issues to appropriate management or departments.
- Provide daily operational support, including opening/closing procedures.
- Resolve customer disputes or escalate complex issues to the Mutuel Manager as necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment.
- Work in coordination with Risk Management and Compliance teams to ensure proper documentation and incident reporting.
- You will be responsible to report shortages and overages to the Mutuel Manager.
- Will be handling large sums of money.
- All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Mutuel Manager and then to the Director of Racing
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- Must be capable to implement the WV rules of Racing.
- Confidentiality of procedures and information is a must.
- Basic knowledge of computer operations
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be committed to 100% customer service.
- Must be able to comprehend a Union contract
- Must be well organized and detail oriented and be able to multi-task.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 21.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
You will need to be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. May be exposed to working in a noisy, lights, smoke secondary smoke environment. The ability to push, pull, kneel, twist, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.
