We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, in Elyria, to support production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment. This role works closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

Primary Duties

• Inspect, test, calibrate, repair, install, and maintain mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment adjustments
• Operate mobile equipment, including forklifts and high lifts
• Safely operate overhead cranes and assist with material movement
• Conduct basic metal fabrication and pipe fitting/plumbing
• Use hand and power tools effectively
• Follow all safety procedures and maintenance protocols
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Technical trade school or related college training (preferred)
• Ability to pass trade-related testing
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints
• Knowledge of general maintenance and safety procedures
• Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash, confined space, and hot work permits
• Oxy/acetylene setup and safe burning practices
• Basic welding, carpentry, and computer skills
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair

Certifications (required or to be obtained):

• Forklift operation
• Overhead crane operation
• High lift operation
• Confined space training

💲 Starting Pay: $34.87/hour

🕒 Shift: 2 ^nd (Monday through Friday 3 pm to 11 pm with OT as needed)

💰 $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
