SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 2 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 70 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen.
JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Job requires worker to complete tasks in general farm labor and harvest of sweet corn, tomatoes, pumpkins, peppers, zucchini, summer squash, green beans, potatoes, gourds, eggplant, brussels sprouts, cantaloupe, watermelon, strawberries, peaches. Worker is required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: seed and plant; prune, train, tie, and stake plants; remove weeds; apply fertilizer; install, operate, repair, and maintain irrigation systems; remove stakes and string; lay plastic; remove plastic and drip tape; general farm maintenance and clean up; loading and unloading; drive and operate tractor, equipment, or other farm vehicle on farm property and to transport on roads between fields; perform maintenance and minor repairs on tractors, trucks and other agricultural equipment; drive Employer-provided vehicle to other locations as directed. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:
BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).
WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
