We are seeking a creative, mission-driven communicator to join our team as Public Relations Manager.
What You Will Do
The Public Relations Manager is responsible for ensuring consistent public relations across all of HAPCAP’s programs under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer.
This Position:
• Executes an annual strategic communications plan across multiple media platforms, including but not limited to social media, printed materials such as flyers and brochures, press releases, speaking engagements, and e-newsletters
• Contributes to the creation and execution of HAPCAP’s Annual Report
• Is responsible for website content and maintenance
• Manages the agency’s info email inbox
Travel throughout the HAPCAP & SE Ohio Foodbank service area for story collection and events is necessary. HAPCAP offers mileage reimbursement.
What we're looking for:
• Applicants should have excellent written communication skills.
• Experience across a wide variety of communication channels and tools.
• Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, Word Press, Adobe InDesign, and social media management tools preferred.
• Must be an individual of good character and responsibility; a high level of confidentiality and integrity is required.
• Knowledge of design, basic photography, and video is essential.
• A passion for addressing issues of poverty and hunger is highly preferred.
• An Associate’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism, or a minimum of three years of relevant work experience plus a High School Diploma or GED is required.
