Our client, in the legal space, is looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team. This is a newly created role where you will be reporting to and partnering with the Controller to oversee a range of general accounting operations including financial close, reporting, auditing, maintaining the General Ledger and ensuring GAAP Compliance. You will be a part of a collaborative accounting department and work closely with the FP&A, Financial Technology, and other teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of experience in both public accounting and in-house accounting with time in a supervisory/management role. CPA is preferred. They are looking for a candidate who can operate in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work collaboratively with a larger team. Workday experience is a plus as they have recently implemented the system. The position is remote with the option to come in once a month with the team to their New York City Office.
