Lead CNC Machinist - Cleveland, OH - JOB 26-00312
Pay Range: $28.00 - $35.00/HR Full-time Permanent Position with Benefits
1st shift & 2nd Shift 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM (Monday – Thursday)
A premier manufacturing firm on the east side of Cleveland to recruit a Lead CNC Machinist. This is a high-impact leadership role on a 4-day work week schedule. As the Lead Machinist, you will oversee the setup and operation of CNC milling machines, ensuring the highest quality standards for small-part manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
• Expert Setup & Operation: Perform complex setups and operate CNC milling machines with high precision.
• Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor entry-level staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and safety.
• Quality Control: Utilize optical comparators and microscopes to perform detailed inspections on micro-sized parts.
• Blueprint Proficiency: Interpret intricate technical drawings and blueprints to ensure exact specifications.
• Programming Literacy: Maintain a strong understanding of G-code/M-code and CNC language to troubleshoot and optimize runs.
• Team Performance: Drive the 2nd shift team to meet and exceed daily production and quality benchmarks.
Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in CNC Milling (Setup and Operation).
• Education: High School Diploma or GED; CNC Machinist training or certification preferred.
• Micro-Manufacturing: Proven ability to work with very small parts and tight tolerances.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for reporting and inter-departmental collaboration.
• Schedule: Ability to work a consistent 4-day/10-hour 2nd shift schedule.
