Job Description:
Project Scheduler Sr
Location: New Albany, Ohio (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
This role is responsible for coordinating team activities and supporting Project Managers. With minimal supervision, the Project Scheduler will act as a scheduler and commodity tracker for major projects. The position involves independently leading the effort to develop and analyze intermediate and complex scope of work schedules using the assigned system.
Key Responsibilities
- Define activities, durations, work sequences, and relationship logic to develop project plans and milestones.
- Develop fully integrated system schedules, including resource loading and leveling, for complex project execution teams.
- Organize and lead schedule review meetings with all stakeholders, incorporating appropriate details and ensuring clear action items.
- Communicate schedule status to project stakeholders and lead the administration of project management organizational standards.
- Use sound techniques and best practices to update progress, acquire information, baseline schedules, and maintain schedules.
- Prepare and analyze metrics reports or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Mentor and train junior-level schedulers.
- Recommend and develop "What-If" schedules as required to address problems and minimize schedule impact.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Qualified degrees must be in a related field such as Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or Project Management from an accredited university or college. Education requirements are dependent upon experience as follows:
- With a qualified Associate's degree, 4 years of qualified experience is required.
- With a qualified Bachelor's degree, 2 years of qualified experience is required.
Experience:
- Qualified experience includes utility-specific operations knowledge with a working knowledge of work processes and procedures.
- Experience should be in operations, planning, project management, or construction or maintenance of systems and equipment.
- Scheduling experience in utilities or construction management is necessary.
- Primavera (P6) scheduling experience is required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including the ability to develop complex spreadsheets.
Other Requirements
- Demonstrate the ability to manage time effectively and efficiently, with organizational and planning skills.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a self-motivated individual able to work under general supervision.
- Availability to work overtime, call-out overtime, and shift work, as required.
- Ability to perform light physical duties at various work sites in varying conditions.
