POSITION SUMMARY
Hardware Store Associates assist customers with locating products, provide basic guidance on tools and materials, and support daily store operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and helping customers with home improvement and repair needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet customers and assist with locating hardware, tools, and building materials.
• Provide basic product knowledge on items such as plumbing, electrical, paint, and lawn and garden supplies.
• Operate cash register and process transactions accurately.
• Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain clean aisles.
• Assist with unloading deliveries and restocking inventory.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all store policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings until 8 pm and weekends.
• Basic knowledge of tools, hardware, or home improvement products preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to move merchandise as needed.
• Public transportation is available to the worksite.
