Part‑Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) – After‑School Latchkey Program
Location: Beavercreek, Ohio
Schedule: Part‑Time, Monday–Friday, after‑school hours (approx. 2:30 PM–5:30 PM) Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and certifications
About the Position
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our after‑school latchkey program serving youth with disabilities. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping children grow, learn, and build independence in a safe, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support, supervision, and engagement to youth ages 14–21 after school
- Assist with homework, enrichment activities, social skills, and daily living needs
- Support positive behavior and model appropriate communication
- Ensure safety during transitions, activities, and community outings (if applicable)
- Maintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and attendance records
- Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and program leadership
- Follow all DODD, program, and agency policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Ability to pass required background checks (BCI/FBI)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration (MA1), and other DODD trainings a plus (or willingness to complete upon hire)
