Job Title: Part-Time Staff Driver

Department: Transportation

Reports To: Transportation Supervisor and Executive Director

FLSA Status: Hourly

 

SUMMARY:  Part-Time driver to transport disabled, elderly, or Medicaid clients from one destination to another.

  • Communicates with Scheduler/Dispatch
  • Duties must comply with all applicable DOT, federal, state, local, and system regulations and policies,
  • U.S. DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations/random drug screens

 

QUALIFICATIONS: - High School diploma or GED;

-Clean driving record

-Have the ability to perform a flexible work schedule,

-Must have good written and oral communication skills

-Willingness to obtain and maintain CPR, First

 Aid and other training/certifications as required.

- Must have less than 4 points on Driver’s License

- Must pass a background check and drug and alcohol test.

- Must be 21 years old


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow dress code by wearing sweatshirts, t-shirts, and coats with the SEA logo.
  • Wearing clean jeans and shorts with no stains or rips. No sandals or opened toed shoes.
  • Responsible for accurate documenting/logging each passenger using SEA’s software.
  • Assisting passengers with loading and unloading. Including those with wheelchairs, walkers, and canes.
  • Must be able to work and operate lift equipment and securement systems.
  • Coordinating with Transportation Scheduler/Dispatchers and Transportation Supervisor.
  • Required to do pre-trip inspections.
  • Must fuel up vehicle at end of shift.
  • Required to clean out vehicles at end of shift.

-Clean vehicle interior using a vacuum or broom, including wheelchair brackets.

-Daily mopping the inside floors.

-Clean windows using window cleaner.

-Make sure all trash has been removed.

-If there has been bodily fluids or blood, sanitize and disinfect.

-If there has been an incident with passenger or vehicle, make sure to report to supervisor and fill out incident reports

  • Daily vehicle maintenance checks
  • Reporting any necessary vehicle maintenance or damage
  • Following all Transportation and SEA policies and procedures
  • Provide written receipt to passengers if necessary.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Maintaining current required certifications and trainings
  • Need to be able to bend, kneel and push passengers in wheelchairs.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Transportation Coordinator or Executive Director
  • 25-30 hours per week

 

PAY SCALE$14.50/per hour. After 90 Day Probation – Director has discretion to give a pay increase.

 

BENEFITS:  One (1) Paid Six (6) Hour Day Off as Personal Day

  One (1) Paid Six (6) Hour Day Off as Birthday/Personal Day

            Paid 6 hours for Thanksgiving Day

                       Paid 6 hours for Christmas Day

  Simple IRA – SEA matches up to 3%
