Class A CDL/ Semi Driver

The Class A CDL/Semi Driver hauls construction material and equipment used in the construction process to and from various projects, both interstate and intrastate of Ohio.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Loads and unloads various types of heavy equipment using various trucks and trailers

• Hauls structural steel, building materials and permitted loads

• Follows best practices to ensure that loads are secured and safe

• Inspects trucks and trailers for mechanical items and safety issues and performs preventative maintenance on the vehicles

• Operates in compliance with FMCSA safety standards

• Documents and logs work and rest periods in compliance with DOT regulations

• Plans routes and meets delivery schedules

• Ensures all safety devices on vehicles or equipment are in good working order

• Adheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment

• Performs other duties as assigned

Class A CDL/ Semi Driver

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

•High School Diploma or GED required

• Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform duties of the role

• Minimum of five (5) years CDL experience

• Heavy equipment experience required

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Must maintain Class A CDL and medical card

• Excellent communication skills

• Must possess good time management skills

• Must be self-motivated

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

• Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
