POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for preventative maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings and process equipment at a wastewater treatment facility. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall plant operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures.
- Complete cleaning, lubrication, oil changes, adjustments, and repairs.
- Inspect equipment and replace parts or perform partial/full overhauls.
- Operate light equipment such as tractors, lawnmowers, pumps, and transport vehicles.
- Conduct general grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, snow removal, and painting.
- Maintain records related to maintenance and repairs.
- Assist with other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
- Experience with routine plant or industrial equipment maintenance.
- Understanding of lubrication schedules and preventative maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with asset management in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of techniques to prevent unplanned equipment downtime.
- Wastewater treatment experience is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with coworkers, contractors, and the public.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
- Ability to pass a drug screening.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance, manual labor, and repair work preferred.
- Experience using tools and equipment to repair or modify parts preferred.
