Hours: Full-time

Pay: $20.50-$30.48

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for preventative maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings and process equipment at a wastewater treatment facility. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall plant operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures.
  • Complete cleaning, lubrication, oil changes, adjustments, and repairs.
  • Inspect equipment and replace parts or perform partial/full overhauls.
  • Operate light equipment such as tractors, lawnmowers, pumps, and transport vehicles.
  • Conduct general grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, snow removal, and painting.
  • Maintain records related to maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
  • Experience with routine plant or industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Understanding of lubrication schedules and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with asset management in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of techniques to prevent unplanned equipment downtime.
  • Wastewater treatment experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with coworkers, contractors, and the public.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license with a safe driving record required.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance, manual labor, and repair work preferred.
  • Experience using tools and equipment to repair or modify parts preferred.
