Lead Kitchen Associate

Position Summary

Root's Poultry seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lead Kitchen Associate to oversee daily production activities in our kitchen facility. This role is responsible for producing finished products in compliance with USDA regulations, maintaining quality standards, and supporting production staff to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

● Lead and participate in daily food production under USDA inspection

● Ensure all products are produced according to company recipes, specifications, and quality standards

● Monitor and enforce food safety and sanitation procedures

● Maintain compliance with USDA, HACCP, and food safety guidelines

● Assist with production scheduling and workflow coordination

● Train and support production team members

● Monitor inventory levels and report supply needs

● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

● Complete required production and compliance documentation accurately

Qualifications

● Previous food production or commercial kitchen experience required

● Experience working in a USDA-inspected facility preferred

● HACCP and/or ServSafe certification appreciated but not required

● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

● Ability to lead a small team and communicate effectively

● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
