Reqs: MD or DO degree with general surgery background & fellowship in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery approved by ACGME or be board certified by an approved board of the American Board of Medical Specialties. 36 months of training or residency in surgery. OH Med License & Board Certification in Plastic & Reconstuctive Surgery. Travel within county required for 1-2x/wk.
Job Duties
- See patients and perform surgery in the field of reconstructive and plastic surgery;
- Perform cosmetic surgery for patients in our clinic;
- The practice will also nurture a strong interest in clinical research, medical education and growing a strong clinical plastic and reconstructive surgery practice. She will be required to participate in the academic orientation of Adlakha Plastic Surgery.
- Scholarly and research activity in the form of publishing peer reviewed publications, presentations at regional and national meetings, involvement with local and national societies, and other scholarly activity is also a requirement. She will be required to directly oversee these research projects and scholarly activities. Residents can then participate in the presentation of their research findings and/or other educational material at the national and regional conferences to their peers in the field.
- Providing patients a wide range of plastic and reconstructive surgery, including both the functional and aesthetic management of congenital and acquired defects of the face, neck, trunk, body, and extremities.
- Attend, lead and participate in weekly plastic surgery conferences which include textbook and selected readings, chapter reviews, review of articles from peer reviewed academic journals, morbidity/mortality case reviews, surgical skills labs, and weekly service reports.
- Practicing in the broad areas of general plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as exhibit continued competent skills and characteristics.
