JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Blueberry Harvest by hand, Picking of Blueberries, Cleaning Blueberries, stacking boxes/containers of Blueberries, and driving buses on the blueberry farm. Prolonged walking, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching. The job is outdoors and continues in all types of weather. Able to lift and carry 50 pounds repetitively throughout the workday. Workers should be physically able to do the work required with or without reasonable accommodation. It should not hinder the productivity of another worker. The use, possession, or being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol during working time is prohibited. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol testing at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Requires 1 month of verifiable work experience in blueberry manual harvesting. $3.25 per Bucket (1 Gallon) or equivalent/Blueberry. The estimated hourly rate is $13.78/hr. guaranteed for “U.S. workers (A1)”, and the estimated hourly rate is $13.73/hr. guaranteed for “H-2A workers (B1)”. 35 hours a week. 1st-week warranty. Housing is provided at no cost to workers who cannot reasonably return to their residency daily. The tools are provided by the employer at no cost. 3/4 scheduled working hours guaranteed. Transport/subsistence reimbursed for the costs incurred by reporting to the workplace if the worker completes half the period of employment. Return Transportation Refunded if the worker terminates the contract. The employer understands that the Fair Labor Standards Act applies independently of the H-2A requirements and imposes. obligations on employers regarding payment of wages. 20 CFR 655.122(h)(1). In the event a female worker is hired, the employer will provide separate sleeping, bathing, and toilet facilities for male and female workers. Must be 18 years old.
EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:
BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.
HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.
TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).
WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.
TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
