Cook Room Operator
Department: Production Reports To: Production Lead
Role Summary:
Responsible for operating cookers and supporting early morning production startup. This role ensures cookers are loaded and unloaded on schedule, assists with pre-operation setup across production areas, and supports the raw room throughout the shift to maintain overall workflow and output.
Tier 1: $15.00-$16.50/hr
Core Responsibilities:
● Open building for deliveries and prepare production areas for startup
● Load and unload cookers according to production needs
● Prepare and fill pans accurately for cooking
● Assist with pre-operation setup (basic equipment readiness and prep support)
● Maintain clean and organized cook room and work areas
● Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
● Support raw room with basic tasks as directed
Tier 2: $16.50-$19.00/hr
Advanced Responsibilities:
● Maintain consistent production flow by managing cook cycles efficiently
● Work independently between cook room, pre-op, and raw room without direction
● Assist in raw room with trimming, prep, and order fulfillment
● Identify production needs and adjust workflow to stay on schedule
● Communicate delays, product shortages, or issues to management
● Maintain cleanliness and organization across multiple production areas
● Cross-trained in cook room and raw room operations
Tier 3: $19.00-$22.50/hr
Ownership & Mastery:
● Keep morning production on schedule and ensure all cook room tasks are completed daily
● Take ownership of cook room organization, cleanliness, and efficiency
● Anticipate production needs and prepare accordingly
● Identify gaps or inefficiencies in workflow and communicate solutions
● Support overall production flow without needing direction
● Maintain consistency, speed, and accuracy across all responsibilities
