Job Title: Retail Associate

Position Summary

We are seeking friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Associates to support daily operations in our retail space. This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store appearance, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations. Retail Associates represent the Roots brand by being helpful, knowledgeable, and dependable in all customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities

● Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with purchases

● Operate the cash register accurately and handle transactions efficiently

● Stock shelves, coolers, and freezers; rotate inventory and check product dates

● Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail space, including displays and product cases

● Assist with deli slicing, packaging, and grab-and-go preparation as needed

● Follow food safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times

● Support team members and communicate effectively with supervisors

Qualifications

● Friendly, professional attitude with strong communication skills

● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds

● Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends

● Previous retail or food service experience preferred, but not required
