We are seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Press Operator & Typesetter to join our commercial printing team. While this role includes graphic design duties, your primary focus will be preparing files for print, ensuring layout accuracy, and setting type. You will bridge the gap between client concepts and final physical production.
Key Responsibilities
· Typesetting: Perform heavy text and image edits, execute font matching, handle copy formatting, and create new or update existing design templates with new information.
· Color Management: Convert files to CMYK, manage spot colors, and output for press.
· Proofing: Generate accurate digital and physical proofs for client approval.
· Design Support: Execute layout revisions, recreate low-resolution assets, and handle basic design requests.
· Archiving: Safely organizing and storing completed electronic files on local servers for future reprints.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Adobe Creative Cloud (2026): Expert daily use of InDesign, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
· Operating Systems: Must be highly proficient and comfortable working in a Mac/Apple desktop environment.
· Candidates with previous experience in a print production role will be given special consideration.
· Commercial Print Knowledge: Strong understanding of bleeds, crop marks, trapping, transparency flattening, and digital workflows. (Kodak Prinergy Workflow)
· 
Typography: Maintain masterful control over kerning, leading, and paragraph styles in InDesign to guarantee flawless readability and visual balance in dense layouts

· Superb time management skills alongside the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve complicated problems.
· Capable of managing and working on multiple tasks or assignments at the same time.

· Solid work ethic with a positive outlook, accustomed to being a helpful and engaged team player.
· Strong attendance record.
