Job Title: Maintenance Associate

Location: Chagrin Valley Racquet Club

Department: Facilities / Maintenance

Reports To: Facilities Manager / General Manager

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Associate is responsible for the overall upkeep, cleanliness, and safe operation of the Club’s facilities. This role supports both indoor and outdoor areas, ensuring that all spaces—including tennis courts, fitness areas, locker rooms, pool/lake areas, and clubhouse—are well-maintained and present a high-quality experience for members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all Club facilities and grounds
  • Inspect and address maintenance issues in locker rooms, restrooms, and common areas
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of Club events and activities
  • Monitor and maintain pool and lake areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met
  • Conduct regular equipment checks and perform preventative maintenance
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
  • Assist with seasonal projects (court preparation, landscaping, snow removal, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Prior maintenance or facilities experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
  • Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various indoor/outdoor conditions
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

This position involves both indoor and outdoor work in a club setting, with exposure to varying weather conditions and physical demands.
