REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be available the entire work period of 7/1/26-1/17/27. Must agree to 55 hr work week. Employer will provide transportation from employer provided living quarters to work site every day. Must read, and agree to, all terms and conditions of employment prior to a referral to the employer.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 3 months of verifiable experience in all job duties. This job requires exposure to extreme temperatures, ability to lift 60 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, frequent stooping, extensive pushing and pulling, drug screen.


JOB DUTIES: Handling manual tasks associated with commodity production and harvest activities. Crops/Commodities: Cows. Primary duties (performed the majority of workdays): The worker must maintain sanitary conditions in the maternity area and keep accurate records of all reproductive activities and health treatments. Daily responsibilities include preparing and administering g proper nutrition for pregnant cows and newborns, monitoring animal health, and reporting concerns to farm veterinarians. Perform farm duties related to dairy production and cattle raising: clean and prepare barn and milking equipment; prepare cows for milking; milk cows; feed cows; place and remove bulls from breeding service; examine cattle for illnesses and treat as necessary; vaccinate cattle; clean, repair, and maintain facilities; spread manure on pastures; clean manure from feed lanes; sort and lock-up cows; assist with calving; feed calves and wean calves from milk; load and transport herd. The worker will perform essential duties in the maternity section of the dairy farm, including artificial insemination procedures and assistance with cow birthing processes. The position requires direct involvement in newborn calf care, feeding management, and monitoring the health of pregnant cows. Must wear assigned personal protective equipment when required. Must report for work daily wearing work clothing and boots or other durable foot wear. Workers wearing clothing inappropriate for work will not be permitted to start work. Work may be done for long periods of time and requires prolonged periods of standing and/or walking, repetitive movements, and frequent bending and/or stooping. Workers must be able to handle, lift, and carry heavy or bulky objects (product, containers) in accordance with the specified lifting requirements. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing is required upon reasonable suspicion of use. Workers with a clean driving record (no major moving violations such as but not limited to Driving While Intoxicated or Reckless Driving) and able to obtain an insurable driver's license may drive company vehicles. Workers with appropriate licenses and a valid doctor's certificate may transport other workers. Supervisor(s) will provide instructions and directions to workers. Workers must be able to comprehend and follow instructions and communicate effectively to supervisors. Unusual, complex or non-routine activities will be supervised. Workers expected to perform basic duties in a proficient manner without close supervision. Job opportunity is Skill Level I. All primary duties are entry-level and require close supervision and/or a short demonstration of the task by a more experienced worker. Employer may request, but not require, workers to work more than the stated daily hours and/or on a worker's Sabbath or federal holidays. Worker must report to work at designated time and place each day. Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any change to start time. Workers will have an unpaid lunch break. Workers will be required to work some night shifts. Each worker will be assigned to a shift and a rotation: 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM TERMINATION. Prior to any termination for cause, employer evaluates workers' performance of required tasks and compliance with Work Rules and other employer policies. Employer may terminate a worker for cause if the worker's performance consistently and/or substantially fails to satisfy the employer's reasonable expectations (in accordance with the criteria set forth herein), or otherwise engages in serious or egregious misconduct that endangers health, safety, or property.


EMPLOYER ASSURANCES:


BOARD ARRANGEMENTS: Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities so workers are able to prepare their own meals. The employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries.


HOUSING: Employer-provided housing is available for all workers who live outside a reasonable daily driving distance.


TRANSPORTATION TO WORK SITE: The employer will provide transportation for all workers living in the employer-provided housing to and from the daily work site(s).


WORKERS COMPENSATION INSURANCE: Provided.


TOOLS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT: Tools, supplies, and equipment needed to complete the job will be provided by the employer at no cost to the worker.
