PRE-TRIAL RELEASE AND PRE-SENTENCE SERVICES PROGRAM
POSITION TITLE: PRE-TRIAL RELEASE SERVICES OFFICER
The Court of Common Pleas, General Division, is seeking an individual to serve as a Pre-Trial Release Services Officer for the Pre-Trial and Pre-Sentence Services Program under the direct supervision of the Pre-Trial and Pre-Sentence Services Program Director and the indirect supervision of the Deputy Court Administrator, the Pre-Trial Release officer is responsible for gathering, processing and evaluating the information necessary to aid in the determination of an arrestee’s pre-trial release and/or detention and to monitor those released under the supervision of Pre-Trial Services. Other duties include contacting victims, reviewing bond, monitoring arrest dates and bookings, maintaining statistics and submitting reports.
Qualifications: Must be able to successfully pass a BCI and FBI Background Check for LEADS (Law Enforcement Automated Data System). Must be able to obtain ORAS (Ohio Risk Assessment System) certification and perform ORAS assessments. A bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for criminal justice, social services or a related field. Must possess at least one (1) years’ experience in criminal justice or social services.
Unusual working conditions: Requires work in high-risk areas such as the Stark County Jail.
