Starting Pay $26.76 per hour plus Shift Differential ($1.50 for afternoon shift & $1.00 for overnight shift)

As a Machine Operator, you are responsible for operating various machines in the production areas while adhering to safety requirements, quality parameters and in-process checks.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Follow detailed parts instructions and ensure that processing requirements in those documents are completed
- Record process data as required by standard operating procedures
- Troubleshoot minor problems with the equipment
- Inspect parts both visually and dimensionally, use proper measuring equipment
- Interpret visual specifications to recognize and classify defective material
- Perform testing and inspection of materials and/or parts throughout the processing sequence
Requirements:
- Must be flexible to work both afternoon & overnight shifts
- Must be flexible to work either 8, 10, or 12 hours shifts plus weekends/overtime as needed
- High School Diploma /GED
- 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment operating equipment
- Ability to use measuring devices, such as micrometers and gauges
- Mechanical interest and aptitude
Essential Tasks:
- This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment
- This position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs. and can maneuver large, cumbersome equipment
- Required to do data entry and operate a computer at times
- Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, grip or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
- Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch at times
- Ability to push/pull up to 130 pounds of force
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus when reading
- Ability to work in environments with hot temperature conditions
- Ability to operate manufacturing equipment such as forklifts on occasion
