Position: Mold Maintenance Technician

Location: Mentor, OH

Hours: Full Time

Willing To Hire: Veterans

Pay: $23.00-$25.00

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining and repairing production molds and related tooling to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role supports production by minimizing downtime, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting on production lines as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair molds and tooling equipment.
  • Disassemble and reassemble molds; replace worn or damaged components.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely repairs on production equipment.
  • Set up and operate machine tools to support mold maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of molds, parts, and tools.
  • Perform mold changes and verify proper setup before production use.
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedules and document all repairs.
  • Conduct quality checks on parts and repair components when possible.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Assist on production lines as needed to support operations.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
  • Frequent use of hands and tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Visual ability to inspect parts and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
  • Experience with machine tools (drill press, mill, lathe, welding equipment) preferred.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
