POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for applying engineering principles to product development and process design. This role supports design, testing, and continuous improvement efforts while preparing accurate technical drawings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop 3D CAD models, drawings, and blueprints for products and components.
- Review dimensions, material specifications, and overall design accuracy.
- Support new product development and process improvements.
- Assist in material selection and evaluation.
- Design and evaluate production processes and equipment.
- Conduct or coordinate product testing to meet industry standards.
- Implement design changes following standard change management processes.
- Maintain and organize drawings within company systems.
- Provide layout support for plant, office, and trade show needs.
- Assist with quality control and environmental, health, and safety practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project success.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 4–6 years of experience in engineering or related field.
- Experience with project management and cost estimating preferred.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks (minimum 2 years).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
- Experience with measurement tools (calipers, gauges).
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
