Position: General Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair work within a manufacturing facility. This includes troubleshooting equipment issues, completing preventative maintenance, and supporting overall facility operations to ensure safety and efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect production areas to identify maintenance needs, hazards, and equipment issues.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical components.
- Respond to work orders and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with general facility upkeep, including minor grounds maintenance.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Support team members and outside vendors on projects as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in general maintenance (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting) preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems and perform basic repairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting).
- Basic computer skills (Windows and Microsoft Office).
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, safety rules, and maintenance documents.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, or scissor lifts preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between facilities as needed.
