Cost Engineer: 1) Analyze customer specifications, wire harness blueprints, and technical drawings using FileMaker Pro software; (2) Estimate material costs by using Power Query to consolidate supplier databases, BOMs and past project data; (3) Estimate labor hours and costs for wire harness assembly, testing and rework based on process complexity, tooling needs, and production rates; (4) Compare material and component pricing from multiple suppliers by developing Power BI reports and dashboards; (5) Streamline cost estimating processes and identify cost-saving opportunities by analyzing data trends in Advanced Excel using pivot tables, formulas, and macros; (6) Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to validate cost assumptions, address technical challenges, and ensure smooth project execution; and (7) Build first article wire harnesses to validate customer specifications.
