Job description:


We’re Hiring!


Full Time and Part Time available


Must be willing to travel to all 3 branches (LICCO -Newark, MSI -Zanesville, and HWI -Coshocton.) We will pay for travel time between buildings and $0.70/per mile if using a personal vehicle.


Schedule

  • Scheduling is based on service needs
  • Evenings twice a week (starting around 3:00 PM)
  • Weekends required
  • Up to 40 hours per week


Pay & Incentives

  • Starting Pay: $17.25/hour


Shift Differentials:

  • +$1.00/hour for evening shifts
  • +$2.00/hour for Friday evenings
  • +$5.00/hour for Saturday & Sunday shifts

As an Employment Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting adults with developmental disabilities as they discover, secure, and succeed in meaningful employment. This is a rewarding opportunity to empower individuals, build connections, and be part of life-changing outcomes every day.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide on-site and community-based support, coordination, and access to employment resources
  • Observe and evaluate performance, behavior, and overall well-being
  • Break down job tasks into teachable steps and provide hands-on training
  • Foster independence and build natural supports within the workplace
  • Promote professionalism, including work ethic, communication, and appropriate workplace behavior
  • Complete documentation, reports, and assessments in a timely manner
  • Transport individuals as needed to support employment opportunities


What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to pass background screenings
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
  • Ability to build positive relationships in the workplace and community
  • Comfortable working independently in a variety of settings
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Friendly, compassionate, and creative approach to problem-solving
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical movements such as bending, squatting, and reaching
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions while in the community
  • Must pass required physical, vision, hearing, and drug screenings
