• Develop strong relationships with key/major accounts by coordinating with multifunctional teams including purchasing, material engineering, manufacturing, product engineering, advanced manufacturing and advanced engineering to incorporate customer needs into product development.
• Develop key account sales strategies, product introductions and business development, and increase/maintain profitability to at least 5% ROS (Robot Operating System) for all sales by division.
• Ensure pricing strategies consist with the company’s overall market strategy and obtaining improved profits on value-added specialty products, such as pre-color and safety component materials, versus commodity compounded products.
• Manage and educate the sales team on the OEM plus the overall automotive market to increase sales.
• Develop annual sales targets for the sales team and hold team accountable for the results.
• Work with ACP-MX to align on strategy for handling OEM’s and Tier’s. Provide guidance and support activities of ACP-MX team.
• Ensure compliance with quality, environment, occupational health and safety, and testing (ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, ISO/IATF 16949, ISO17025) as well as company’s safety standards and policies and other applicable regulations such as OSHA. Identify and control health and safety risks to reduce the potential for accidents and improve the overall performances. Ensure legal compliance to mitigate or eliminate potential risks.
• Understand the significant impacts, associated aspects, and the legal requirements that are inherent with acquired duties, identified hazards, assessed risks, and implemented controls within her department, and ensure compliance with all ACP company rules, policies, procedures and report any and all hazards, incidences and accidents identified and/or witnessed directly to the manager and Plant Safety department.
• Option to work from the main office in Sidney, Ohio or remotely from one’s home office provided the state is in close proximity to MI (Northern Midwest – Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania) so that one can come into the office as necessary.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, international business, marketing or a related field.
• 10 years of progressive experience in polyolefin sales with at least 5 years in the NA automotive market.
• 5 years of progressive experience in business development and contract negotiations with tier one molders including Grupo Antolin, Forvia, Plastic Omnium.
• 5 years of progressive experience in leading US automotive TPO Sales & Tech Service teams.
• Up to 50% Travel is required throughout Mexico, USA, Canada, South America and Europe to meet with customers and group companies up to 50% of the time. Each stay will last 2 days to up to 2 weeks.
• Ability to communicate commercial and technical topics in both English and Spanish, bridging communications barriers with customers, employees and affiliated divisions.
