Job Description

Provide student success coaching to a variety of pre-program students. Oversee all academic tutors and writing center tutors. Drive the pre-program progression strategies to ensure high retention rates and pre-program success. Advise and counsel students to ensure they progress into their programs. Build relationships and collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure pre-program level success is achieved. Responsible for improving processes and delivering coaching and tutoring to students. Lead, hire, and develop student tutors and student success coaches. Meet professional obligations, such as office hours, committee appointments, and deadlines. Act as strong contributor to all appropriate teams, exhibiting Christian collegiality in team relationships. Support Higher Learning Commission projects for continuous quality improvement. Participate regularly in meetings and faculty development activities, including those sponsored by the College, the Medical Center, and professional organizations. Communicate clinical outcomes to student, preceptor, and staff at clinical site. Provide appropriate supervision of students in the clinical setting, in accordance with Ohio Board of Nursing regulations. Participate in the utilization of research projects to advance nursing education.

 

Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Administration or related field and 2 years of related professional experience, including 1 year of experience in student advising or student support; 1 year of experience working in higher education or an equivalent education setting; 1 year of experience in communication with adult learners in online or hybrid formats; 6 months of experience managing a student caseload and tracking progress in a digital system; 6 months problem solving and resource referral experience; and 3 months of experience with basic data entry and student record management.
