Volt is immediately hiring for Machine Operator in West Chester, OH
As a Machine Operator you will:
* Be moving loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard.
* Be assembling pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintaining organized work supplies.
* Be following safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe.
* Be operating powered industrial equipment per OSHA guidelines and procedures.
* Be setting up and maintaining machines for pipe fabrication.
* Be measuring, recording, and adding random pipe lengths accurately.
* Be measuring and cutting pipe using band saws or torches.
* Be threading and bevelling pipe using Landis machines.
* Be inspecting and maintaining forklift equipment.
This is a full-time contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
* 1 year Machine Operation background.
* Experience in using tape measure, and gauges for quality checks.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication.
* 1 year experience with machinery such as pipe threaders, band saws, roll groove machines, plasma cutting, automatic welding machines, and pneumatic banders.
* Backgrounds in auto mechanics, machinery maintenance, automotive lines, diesel, or farm equipment.
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
