Accounting Intern - Mentor, OH

Job Summary: Climax Metals (a division of RBC Bearings) is currently looking for an Accounting Intern. The ideal candidate would be detail-orientated, organized, and eager to support the accounting team with financial and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

* Maintain and update financial records while ensuring accuracy.

* Prepare financial reports as needed for business.

* Enter financial transaction data into the database/ERP system.

* Reconcile bank statements and accounts in a timely manner.

* Provide clerical and administrative support to the accounting department, including preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records.

* Process invoices, organize office mail, and assist with customer and vendor accounts.

* Research and resolve accounting or documentation discrepancies.

* Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and applicable laws.

Job Requirements:

* Associate of Business degree in Accounting/Finance but not required.

* Experience: Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable Clerk.

* Knowledge: Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.

* Technical Skills: Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.

* Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

* Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
