Pier 53 Marine is a Full-Service Marina and is seeking a full time Marine Service Technician with experience in marine mechanics and marine repair. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing marine vessels and related equipment. The job requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Compensation is based on level of experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair marine engines (inboard, outboard and stern drive)
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tune-ups, winterizations and spring launch.
• Install and service marine accessories such as pumps, batteries, electronics and navigation equipment.
• Conduct sea trials to verify proper operation after repairs.
• Accurately document service work performed, parts used and labor hours.
• Communicate with parts and service team regarding repair needs and timelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical trade school preferred.
• Experience as a marine mechanic or service technician.
• Strong understanding of marine electrical and mechanical systems.
• Problem solving and the ability to work independently.
• The ability to work outdoors as well as indoors.
• Basic hand tools.
