Registered Nurse - Hopple Street Neighborhood Health Center

Schedule: Part-Time - 24 Hours per Week

Hours: Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. with varying start times of 8:00 a.m. or 9:00 a.m.; Saturday rotation 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. approximately every six weeks

Holidays: No holiday requirement

About the Role

At Cincinnati Children's, we are committed to improving child health and strengthening the communities we serve. The Hopple Street Neighborhood Health Center provides compassionate, accessible, and comprehensive primary care to children and adolescents from birth through 18 years of age.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, community-focused environment and is passionate about promoting health equity, access to care, and trauma-informed practice.

This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of children and families while working within a collaborative, mission-driven care team.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide nursing care and clinical support for pediatric patients from newborn through age 18

* Support same-day and acute patient needs within a busy primary care setting

* Utilize trauma-informed approaches to care delivery and patient interactions

* Assist with comfort holds and procedures while supporting patient and family-centered care

* Promote preventative care, patient education, and community health outreach initiatives

* Screen for and address social determinants of health in partnership with interdisciplinary teams

* Coordinate care and assist families with access to community and healthcare resources

* Collaborate with providers, social workers, care coordinators, and clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

* Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio

* Minimum of three years of nursing experience required

* Emergency Department or Urgent Care nursing experience preferred

* Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced ambulatory environment

* Passion for community health, access to care, and serving diverse patient populations

* Associate/Diploma prepared RNs from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution requires 2+ years of experience. If hired without a BSN or MSN, must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 1 year of hire date/RN job date and complete program within 5 years of hire/RN job date.

* Preferred: BSN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution or MSN are preferred.

* Active Ohio RN License. May be required to obtain other state licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

* Pediatric nursing experience

* Experience working with underserved or community-based populations

* Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles

* Experience screening for social determinants of health
