Salary/Wage: $19.89–$21.93 per hour. Starting pay is based on professional certifications and/or degrees.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Transportation Manager, this position will perform the operational duties of supervising the vehicle operations, safety, customer service and the equipment in service on all service days. The Street Supervisor will assume the duties of operation/driving of Fixed Route and the Mobility Uplift operations on an as-needed basis and when performing duties in the office.
QUALIFICATIONS: An example of acceptable qualifications:
Completion of secondary education (high school or GED), plus Minimum of two years’ transit procedures; must have a minimum of six months of transit supervisor training or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a valid Ohio CDL (Commercial Driver s License) class B with airbrakes/passenger license; must have a reliable car for emergency situation with the Employer’s services.

Motor vehicle, hand tools, power tools, buffers, booster, broom, sweeper, mop, maintenance equipment/tools, shovel, CPR and First Aide, and other standard business office equipment.

The employee works in the vicinity of floor or wall openings, elevated platforms, and/or runways; works on and around powered platforms and/or vehicle mounted platforms; is exposed to environmental conditions which may result in injury from fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, and/or poorly ventilated work areas; has exposure to chemical compounds found in an office environment (e.g., toner, correction fluid, etc.); works in or around crowds; has contact with potentially violent or emotionally distraught persons; has exposure to hazardous driving conditions; ascends and/or descends ladders, stairs, or scaffolds; has exposure to loud noises; is exposed to possible injury from hazardous waste; is exposed to possible injury to unclean or unsanitary conditions; is exposed to possible injury from moving mechanical parts of equipment or machines; is exposed to possible injury as a result of falling from high places.
Note: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this is considered sedentary to light work.
In cases of emergency, unpredictable situations, and/or department needs, may be required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry objects heavier than D.O.L. strength ratings recommend.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND WORKER CHARACTERISTICS:
JOB DUTIES in order of importance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: For purposes of 42 USC 12101:
25% (1) Assist in am/pm start up or shut down procedures; work as a dispatcher when needed; assist in complaint procedures; assist in Route Planning; always monitor the radio for driver assistance; assist in Revenue daily procedures; act as back-up to any Driver when needed and monitor the radio while on duty.
20% (2) Input data in the computer on as needed basis; verify Time Points for drivers; process follow-along for each driver; assist in verifying and assist with driver pre/post check cards; pull fare boxes when needed; will report any concerns or complaints to the Transportation Manager and assist in investigations.
20 % (3) Investigate all reported accidents and incidents and report to the Employer’s insurance carrier; assist in planning for service changes, improvement of operations, safety concerns, and management efficiency.
15% (4) Assist in Safety Training and new hire training; participate in safety meetings; prepare monthly reports as requested by the supervisor.
15 % (5) Maintains lost and found records and disposal.
(6) Maintains required licensures and certification, if any.
(7) Attends professional education and training conferences, seminars, and workshops, as necessary.
(8) Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
5% (9) Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
(10) Performs other related duties as assigned or directed in order to promote, further, and ensure the effective and efficient operations of the Allen County Regional Transit Authority.
