Job Description: Will provide assistance to residents under the instruction & supervision of a nurse.  Will help residents feel as comfortable & content as possible & also maintain their individuality & dignity.  Will maintain Rights of Residents as set forth by the Ohio Department of Health Laws & Regulations. Essential duties & responsibilities include: maintaining a clean, neat professional appearance following dress code; showing a loving, caring attitude with residents, families & other staff members at all times; communicating clearly & appropriately in a soft tone showing patience & respect & showing a sincere willingness to help residents & families in any way possible.  Will receive report from previous shift nurse prior to each shift worked.  Will follow nurses’ assignments & instructions & assume responsibility for assigned resident’s care.  Will assist residents with dressing/undressing, bathing, grooming & personal needs (including bowel, bladder & incontinence protection products).  Will assist residents in ambulating or transferring from bed, chair, wheelchair or commode, to & from dining room during meal times, to planned activities in which they wish to participate. Will make beds.   Will maintain privacy for residents by always knocking prior to entering room.  Will maintain a safe, clean, organized & quiet environment throughout facility.  Will attend scheduled staff meetings & in-services and/or receive required training as state regulations outline.  Will understand fire & disaster plans & react appropriately if an emergency arises.  Will be knowledgeable of & implement all safety, universal precautions & Company policies/procedures for the protection of residents, coworkers & self

Details: This is a 24 hour/7 days a week facility.  Must be available & willing to work a flexible schedule.  Both part-time and full-time positions available.  Starting wage range is $9.50 to $12.50 per hour, based on experience, skills, abilities & education.  Desirable benefits offered to full-time employees.

Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old, possess a HS diploma/equivalent & be able to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.  No experience necessary—company will train.  Job requires walking, bending, lifting, grasping, pushing, pulling & reaching.  Must have the ability to communicate with residents, families & personnel.  Must have the ability to remain calm under stress.  Ability to demonstrate patience, tact, courtesy, enthusiasm & positive attitude.  Must have the ability to read & write English.
