Due to our continued growth, we are in need of qualified and focused individuals. Reporting to the Director of Medpace's Clinical Pharmacology Unit (CPU), the IDS Pharmacist is a key member of the CPU staff and a contributor to the overall success of the organization.

Comply with the Medpace Clinical Pharmacology Unit (CPU) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice, International Conference on Harmonization Guidelines, Good Pharmacy Practice, project protocols, and applicable state or federal regulations to ensure the efficient and compliant operation of the CPU pharmacy;
Conduct clinical study activities involving investigational drug services according to the protocol and monitoring plan in accordance with the study timelines;
Ensure that the study medication is stored in compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as the project protocol and CPU SOP specifications;
Ensure that the study medication is correctly prepared and labeled for dosing in a manner that is in compliance with the project protocol, randomization code, CPU SOPs, as well as federal, state and local regulations;
Prepare intravenous, intramuscular, and subcutaneous injections when required;
Accurately complete source documents and other study-related paperwork and report when investigational drug services input is required;
Securely maintain schedule II-IV drugs according to state and federal regulations;
Maintain randomization records and assist with the unblinding, when necessary;
Be available to Study Physician to assist in identification of potential drug interactions;
Anticipate and proactively solve study-related investigational drug site issues as they may occur. Initiate, recommend, and communicate corrective action as needed;
Prepare drug interaction monographs based on what is known about the study medications for medical staff;
Provide drug information, when required;
Work with Sponsors, physicians, Project Managers, and other staff on all investigational drug aspects of the study when requested; and
Maintain knowledge and expertise across multiple therapeutic areas through clinical and scientific literature review, ongoing awareness of industry practices, and participation in professional activities.

Bachelor's degree and a valid license to practice pharmacy in the State of Ohio;
5 years of experience in a pharmacy or 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical research industry;
No previous action by the state board of pharmacy; and
Knowledge of state and federal regulations relating to the storage and dispensing of schedule II-IV drugs.
